The Beauty Of Being Single

This is for all you girls..... I absolutely love writing and one of my dreams is to one day be a speaker or at least consul young girls from like 12-19. I think that would absolutely amazing. Anyways, here is an article I wrote a little while ago when this really was on my heart.

Being single, although many woman consider it a curse it is really a blessing of God. Being single is not all about being lonely and depressed.  It should be about fulfillment and love. First off let me say that God’s timing is perfect and if you haven’t found the man of your dreams yet, there is a reason. Have you ever thought that it’s because God doesn’t think you are ready yet or that your heart isn’t ready? In the years that we are single God intends for us to grow closer to him. The love, affection, and attention we would be giving to our boyfriend God wants us to give to Him. And if we learn to get our priorities straight when we are single, when we are in a relationship, we will already know what’s important and what should come first in our life.

So many girls now a day get so wrapped up, as well as emotionally and physically attached, to their boyfriends. It’s almost as if they wouldn’t know what to do if they didn’t have that significant other. This is wrong. Jesus should always be our first priority! And when us girls let a guy take up all of our time, love, and attention, what’s left for Jesus? That is a question they need to ask themselves. Often times when a girl is in a relationship they fall head over heels in love with the guy they are with. Which isn’t necessarily wrong, but can be. They do everything they can to spend time with him and please only him. But they need to be careful because when relationships end, us young girls should not be asking ourselves what am I going to do with my life now? How do I get through the day? These questions arise when girls let their boyfriends become far more important than their Creator.

In order for this not to happen we need to start preparing now. Take this time as a single daughter of the King to grow as a Christian and get to know Jesus more and have a stronger and deeper relationship with him. If this is your goal while you are single your life will be way more fulfilling than having a boyfriend. Jesus loves you more than any young man could. He loves you so much he died a horrible death so that you could live and eventually find that man of your dreams.

Another thing to take caution of as a single woman is to not go pursuing after guys. This is one of the biggest mistakes made in today’s society, girls chasing after guys. First of all this is not how God intended it to be, When we try to chase after a guy we are taking matters into our own hands and you can see how that is wrong because things should be in God’s hands. Also your relationship will be so much more fulfilling and a guy will cherish you much more if he has to pursue you. Don’t be the desperate girl that goes after the first guy she thinks is hot. Be the girl that is throwing herself at Christ.

In Psalms 62:8 it says Trust in him at all times, you people;  pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. This is what we need to do as girls. We need to pour our hearts out to God. He IS listening and He cares about you. And being single should never be lonely because Jesus Christ is the ultimate comforter and with Him, He can fulfill all of your desires. Also by growing in Christ in the years that you are single,  you will be made into an amazing woman of God. God is preparing you right now to be the woman He wants you to be. He is preparing your heart for your husband as well as your future children. Not only is God preparing you right this moment He is preparing your husband for you.

Another thing to think about… is that as girls we need to be careful how we treat the guys that we come into contact with every day at school. I read a book not too long ago and it put this fact into action. You need to treat the guys in your class or the guys you come in contact with exactly how you would want the girls in your future husband’s class to treat him. You don’t want all the girls all over and constantly flirting with your future husband, do you?

As woman of God we need to guard our hearts! God has given us something special and as woman we need to cherish ourselves as princesses because that’s exactly how God sees us. If you truly learn how to love God when you are single, He will teach you exactly how to love your husband one day just like he loves us, unselfishly. Take this time as a learning and growing experience. Throw yourself in God’s word and spend time in prayer with Him daily! You will be absolutely amazed by what He can show you and teach you through His word if you truly take the time and spend it with Him.           Instead of spending that extra hour on Facebook, watching television, or texting, spend it reading Gods word and praying. Ask Him to show you the woman He desires for you to be. Ask Him to mold you into his perfect daughter. He will answer you and no matter what you might want in a guy, ask God what he wants for your future husband. You can also spend time praying for your future husband! Pray that he is making right choices, and that he is guarding his heart. Jesus has a great and marvelous plan for you and has just the right guy that will love you for everything that He has made you to be, but you must be patient. Be diligent though while waiting. Do not waste this precious time of being single on wishing you had a boyfriend. Spend this time getting to know your heavenly father. Fall in love with Him because He is already deeply in love with you. And if you truly want to find the man of your dreams that God has for you, use this time wisely to become a woman of God. And not only will you will you be a gorgeous girl on the inside but it will show through on the outside as well.

Those websites you use to waste your time..

The Best Boredom Websites

So I am a computer junkie (yes, that sounds like a nice way to start). Boredom websites are my favorites. ha. I really am a busy person but somehow I find time to waste time (that I do not have to waste) on all of these different sites. I am sure most of you do this as well. The computer really is a great thing, but it also can become a huge distraction from anything that you should be doing. I, personally, always go these websites at times when I need to be doing something productive the most.  Sooo here are my favorites....

1. The most obvious time water that I hope everyone has hear of.....FACEBOOK. Oh how I love facebook. Everyone knows that people put way to much information on this lovely site just so they can share it with other people. I will admit I did think about deleting my facebook at times (just like all those "really good non time waster" people do), but then I decided that was dumb because how many people can you keep in contact with (with a click of a button) through facebook. It really is a brilliant idea! Without facebook I probablywouldn't really talk to some of my friends from years ago as well as family that I never get to see.

2) This is another big one of mine.... TWITTER. Oh how I love twitter. My boyfriend has this whole idea that you can't follow more people that follow you...me on the other hand I follow like double the amount of people that follow me because I'm nosey and follow celebrities and random quote sites. Twitter is a lovely time waster to just post lots of random facts and ideas that pop into your mind. Twitter is better than facebook in the sense that you can post a hundred times a day and no one notices that you are spending way too much times on twitter. Okay well maybe not a hundred but you can post a lot. And as everyone knows, if you have a twitter, it is just awesome to have someone retweet you. HA.

3) For all you girls out there (and some boys..... I am proud to say my boyfriend has one, even though he does not really use it), this is a necessity to have....PINTEREST. Oh how I absolutely adore Pinterest. It makes any bad day a little better. Of course, it makes you want a whole new wardrobe, house, car, etc....but it still is amazing. I loveee pinterst and I am pretty sure you will learn about everything I love just by lookint at my pinterst! *hine to my future husband: look at my wedding board for a ring;)

4) Another lovely time waster, that lets you look into other peoples life without being weird would be INSTAGRAM. I have an android phone so I just got it not too long ago and I am soooo glad it finally came over to the Android Market. Instagram is just so neat. It lets you take pictures, make them look amazing, and then share them with all of your friends. I love instagram because people really take some neat pictures and I like looking at them ha. If you do not have Instagram...get it. It is really a neat way of sharing a little piece of your life with people.

5) This is a website I STUMBLED UPON;)...while talking to my boyfriend before we were dating.I had never heard of this site before until he moved here (from Lima) and told me about this lovely site that actually does the searching for you. If you are bored and you don't really know what you want to waste your time upon, stumble upon is the place to go.  With stumble upon you choose as many "interests" as you like and then you click "stumble" and it will then choose a random website, based on your likes. It is pretty neat with what it comes up with too because you would never otherwise search them.

6) My new favorite! Blogger.com (where you are right now if you are viewing this site). It you like to talk or like to write (type in this case), this is the website for you. I have always loved talking and writing, and I have always wanted to make a blog...so why not? Doing a blog through Google is really the way to go! If you get approved for putting ads up on your blog, everytime someone clicks on one of your adds you get money. (soo click on an ad while you're here;). Now since you know about blogger...why not you make a blog? Then follow me!

7) My newly discovered website of choice to waste time is ....THE BEST OF CRAIGSLIST. If you have never heard of it you need to check it out. It is absolutely hilarious the stuff that people have posted on craigslist. It is entire site dedicated to dumb or hilarious stuff people have posted. http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/all/

Highschool...I miss the carefree days

I miss the care free days....

High school...that time in your life that you see your friends every day and seem to not have a care in the world, but for some reason cannot wait to leave. I would go back to high school on like any day. It was so easy and I miss it so terribly much. I miss seeing my friends every day. College is such an entire different world.

I personally do not think they prepare you for college. High school was so incredibly easy. College...well nursing school...is an ENTIRELY different ball game. I don't even know if I could have been prepared for this.

Yes, as you see in this picture as well... we had uniforms. Gross right? Eh, not really. It made things easy in the morning because all you had to do was get up and put on your plaid skirt (our only bottoms of choice) and one of your three shirts. You never had to worry about picking out a cute outfit or that cute shirt being dirty. You knew everyone is going to look the same so what does it matter. With saying that though, we did not fail to accessorize! After a while of pleading and begging they finally let us wear leggings! And that was the way we expressed our craziness.

The picture above is from our senior trip (AMAZING trip I might add). We had just left the blue man group...which was also amazing. Since we all went to such a small school we were able to take a trip to Chicago for our last thing to do as an entire clas together! It really was so much fun and I would go back in a heartbeat!

These girls below...these are the girls that got me through highschool to say the least. They were there through it all. Although we don't see eachother very much, when we do it is like nothing has changed. I go to college with two of these lovely ladies and it definitely makes college a 100 times better with them than without them.

And this is where I shall end this lovely post.... with a mountain dew shot after senior prank.

Organizing...a pinterest obsession

Does anyone else have a crazy obsession with organizing??

Well I do. :) For some reason I just have a crazy urge to just buy a box for everything and label every single one of them. Weird I know...but hey I can't help it. Pinterest adds to this obsession I must say. If you have a Pinterest you probably know what I am talking about....

Like seriously aren't these pictures just beautiful? Don't they just make you want to get off your butt and off of the computer and go organize everything?! Well it has that effect over me....yet I'm still sitting on my butt on the computer....

But look how amazing?! This will be what my future house will include! Mass organization! I love knowing that everything has it's own place and it is always easy to find. I mean yes my room would tell you otherwise right now but that is besides the point.

So I decided I needed to do something about this obsession. So I came up with an idea! My mom's birthday is coming up towards the end of June....perfect right?  So after much convincing she has decided to let me completely redo AS WELL as organize our kitchen and front bathroom! So not only does she get an awesome birthday present, but I get to have fun while doing it. So of course I am a little Pinterest freak right now. I want to see every idea possible to get every idea I possibly can. I want to see everything before I decide how I want to do it.

Okay so maybe it is just me with this whole organization thing, but I see it as a good thing! Well anyways... this project is not going to be started until after I get back from vacation so it won't be done till at least July. Until then...

I want a cat....

I want a cat....

There is just one problem with this statement....I'm allergic to cats. Which seems like it would be a big problem, but in my opinion you can just work around that. I don't want just any kind of cat either. If I am going to get a cat it's going to be one that I really really want. What kind is that you ask? A persian :) Yes, I am completely in love with persian cats and that is what I want. So anyone who would like to buy me one and drop it off at my boyfriends house...I promise to love you forever. I would have you drop it off at my house if my parents would let me have a cat live here but that is not the case.

The other day my boyfriend and I went to Fetch (dog store in the dayton mall) and found a little cat that we both completely fell in love with. It was the cutest cat in the world I tell you! It was about 4 months old and the biggest fluff ball ever...which is a necessity for the cat I want. How much was this furry ball of cuteness? Well.... that is where we run into a problem....$800. Crazy right?! Who in the world pays $800 for a cat?! Surely not this girl, a college student with a job only the weekends. So I am back at square one with my "I want a cat" idea. Although $800 is a crazy amount though my boyfriend and I thought it was actually a deal....we sound crazy don't we? That is because when we looked them up online they were all around $2000! The person that pays that much money for a cat seriously needs a priority check.

But anyways would you like to see this handsome fellow??

Isn't he a doll? I thought it was a girl too if that's what you were thinking. It just looks like a girl but it's not.
We picked out a name too!!
SIMBA
So cute right??

Well maybe one day we will get our dream and get ourselves a little persian cat...but until then I will just keep wishing someone will drop one off on my doorstep.

Summary of my deleted first post...

My life made simple

Sooo I deleted my first post so that is an extreme bummer. So instead of even trying to completely rewrite it, which I could but I am way to lazy to take the time. I will just add a few pictures and that will be my "redo" of my first post.

First post in summary.....
So first picture the boyfriend. Love him :) On June 18th we will have been dating for a whole entire year?! Crazy I know! But yeah he is pretty amazing!

Second picture....my little turd of a dog. I also refer to her as my rat...because she looks like a little rat, especially when she is wet. She will be a year on July 4th. So she is just a little baby. She is a cutie though. Very annoying at times as well but I still love her.

Random picture of the other day when she went to the groomer for the first time and got her toe nails all pretty. Yes I do treat my dog like a little human.

Summer class....how I hate you

Microbiology....

Yes I would have to say that microbiology is the one of the dumbest classes I have ever taken. Not only is it all gibberish but it is in no way necessary for a nursing major. As a nursing major we have to treat our patients after they already have the virus....NOT figure out what bacteria or virus they have. It's just not our job and I personally think it is really dumb that we have to take it. Can you tell I can't stand micro yet? ha. Yes it is that bad.

So why a summer class? Well let me tell you. I go to Kettering typically but I heard through the grape vine that a few semesters ago when there was a nursing class taking micro...which is during their 4th semester WITH their cardiac nursing class...17 of them failed out. Seventeen?! That is a whole lot of people if you ask me. It was also their fourth semester, so they only had one more to go and failed out of the nursing program. That sounds absolutely terrible to me. So here I am...at Miami....attempting to not fail this class. Although I think that is next to impossible because nothing in microbiology makes sense....which probably isn't a good thing because my first exam is Tuesday (wish me luck!).

So yeahh...that about sums up how much I hate micro and the reason I am taking this class instead of enjoying my summer with my friends and working like a normal college student. Which I don't mind working, so obviously I would much rather be there than here. Oh well. Sometimes in life you have to do things that you don't want to do. You just have to learn to make the best of them. So that is what I shall try to do....it's hard....very hard... but I am sure I will get through it.

One day at a time....
